Description: Article by Rappahannock Historical Society President John Tole on the clean-up of the grave site of Albert Gallatin Willis. A. G. Willis was captured by Union soldiers and hung near Huntly on October 14, 1864 in retaliation for the death of a Union soldier. He is buried behind the Flint Hill Baptist Church. Signage marks the spot at which he was killed along Rt. 522.
