Description: Collection of all files relating to the Flint Hill Baptist Church located on Rt. 522 in Flint Hill, VA. It was originally established in 1854 with the Reverend Barnett Grimsley serving as the first pastor. There were eighteen female and six male members charter members: Anson Dearing, James Moore, Alfred Dearing, John S. Browning, James Young Sr., Braxton Eastham, Margaret Ball, Sarah Young, Ann M. Browning, Louisa Jordan, Martha A. Jett, Jane Wood, Maria Moore, Ann Dearing, Mary A. Brown, Ann E. Dearing, Mary E. Wood, Phoebe Eastham, Mary Morrison, Martha E. Moore, Jane E. Moore, Ann Amiss, Alice Reid, Lucy Eastham, William Wood, Elvinia Moore, and Sarah Moore.
