The correspondence concerned to parcels of land owned by Mrs. Partlow which were taken during the formation of Shenandoah National Park. Their were two tracts, one of 75 acres and one of over 200 acres. Mrs. Partlow was the daughter of George Washington and Nancy Ellen Bolen Beahm. Her first husband was William Stewart Jenkins. After his death in 1922 she married Charles Walter Patlow.
