Picture of Clark's Tavern. Info from "Washington, Virginia a History 1735-2018."The building was owned by Comptons, and Clarks with Washington and John Clark operating a tavern there. During the widening and macadamizing of the road through Little Washington, the building was severely damaged, with only the first story being left. Walker Jenkins bought the building, the structure being left to his daughters Mary and Ruby Jenkins.
