Notice in the Chief Justice of an accident suffered by a Rappahannock woman who was either thrown or jumped from an automobile on February 3, 1929. Gladys Woodward, wife of Meade Woodward, who lived on the Townsend Smith farm near Flint Hill was in the hospital in Winchester suffering from a brain concussion. She was expected to make a full recovery, but had given no coherent explanation of how the accident occurred. She was found on the road near Flint Hill by the Rev. C. Chelf. The 1930 census shows Meade and Gladys living in Piedmont District, with a six year old daughter and a 2 year old son. He was a farm laborer. She was the daughter of William and Ada Frazier.
