Rappahannock items from the Chief Justice: A new restaurant opened on Court Day, in Little Washington March 11, 1929 named the Cherry Tree and Hatchet. Mrs. M. O. Meigs was the owner. Judge Fletcher was in the hospital in Washington, D. C. W. L. Keyser and wife, L. E. Massie, and Joe Keyser all attended the inaugural of Herbert Hoover on March 4th.
