A History of Woodville Baptist Church written in 1936 when P. H. Chelf was pastor. The present church was built after the original edifice was destroyed by the Woodville tornado in 1929. One of the first members was Aunt Jinny, a free black who brought her letter of recommendation from F. T. Baptist. The booklet also lists the names of individuals and organizations who had donated to the church.
