Application for a pension for Maria Bruce, widow of Reuben Bruce, War of 1812 veteran. Appearing to verify her right to apply were Charles Yates, E. W. Kendall, & John Kiger, neighbors of the Bruces, who said Maria & Reuben Bruce had lived together as man and wife for 40 years and raised a large family of children. John Kiger testified that he had made the coffin for Reuben at the time of his death.
