Description: Abstraction of Rappahannock County Chancery Suit #367 in which Frances Porter Bayliss of Kentucky sued John Porter to receive the monies made for the sale of 3 slaves sold in 1836. An agreement had been made with Sarah Porter, Frances' mother to use this money to purchase horses, a wagon, and a home in the west.
