Description: Article in the Blue Ridge Guide on the sudden death of 74 year old T. M. Almond at Stony Man Resort. While out riding he attempted to kill a rattlesnake in order to take the rattles back to show his friends in Lynchburg. He died from injuries the snake inflicted on him in the attempt.
