Description: Genealogy for the family of James B. Jordan b. ca 1841. The B. may have stood for Byrd, as one of his sons was named James Byrd Jordan. We do not have a death record for him. His wife's name was Catherine. She was probably the daughter of Jane Tyler as a 1915 death record for a Catherine Jordan shows Catherine as widowed, and the informant's name was Edward Jordan, a son of James B. and Catherine Jordan. They had eleven children. Some of the families their children married into were Davenport, Tyler, Porter, Flynn, Curtis, Underwood, Williams, and Phillips.
