Description: Deed for the sale of land to the trustees of the Hampton School Board to build the Washington High School. The land was purchased from F. Pendleton Carter and his wife Judith and consisted of approximately three acres. The metes and bounds started at a stake in the orchard and the property was said to be in or near the corporate limits of the town of Washington.
