Description: Article on the 1918 lynching of Mr. Allie Thompson, an 18 year old black man accused of assaulting Mrs. Lelia Sisk whose husband was away in France serving in the army. Twelve or fifteen men got into the jail in Culpeper where he was being held by using a ruse of having a prisoner to leave at the jail.
