Description: Several caches of confederate money were located by Commonwealth's Attorney Peter Luke as he was looking for real estate records. One bundle was associated with a Major Turner, one with H. M. Heterick, clerk of the court of Rappahannock County in the mid-19th century, and the final notes were related to a court case, Hamilton Fletcher v. Robert Whitescarver and Lafayette Browning. Judgement went to M. J. Lillard in the case.
