Description: Certificates of qualifications taken at the august court in 1865 verifying that the commissioners elected in Rappahannock County had taken the oaths proscribed by the governor of Virginia on June 30, 1865. In the letter to the governor, C. B. Haddox was asked at his Flint Hill precinct whether he had voluntarily given aid and comfort to the enemies of this state or the United States since January 1, 1864 to which he replied that he had traded them cattle for supplies and fed soldiers.
